Principal and Owner
Perry T. Cabean founded Grand Street Capital Management, L.L.C. in 2009. Mr. Cabean has more than 20 years of professional investment experience having worked as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, and as a portfolio manager for Wachovia Bank, Comerica Bank, and Wilmoco Capital Management. At Wachovia Bank, Mr. Cabean was responsible for managing $271 million in his book of accounts. While at Comerica, Mr. Cabean had discretionary authority for $107 million in investment assets under management. The investment team at Wilmoco Capital Management grew from $5 million to $125 million during his tenure. Mr. Cabean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan, a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Bowling Green State University, and is a candidate for the Level II examination for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
W. Howard Morris
Chief Investment Strategist, Portfolio Manager
W. Howard Morris joined Grand Street Capital Management in 2019 as a Chief Investment Strategist. Mr. Morris has over three decades of professional experience in a variety of areas. These areas include investing for institutions and individuals, serving on boards of directors, corporate finance, public finance and academia. Since 2007, he has been a member of the board of directors of Owens Corning Corporation (NYSE:OC). He is a member of the Michigan State Tax Commission. Mr. Morris is the former Chief Financial Officer of the Detroit Public School District in Detroit, MI, the former President & Chief Investment Officer of WILMOCO Capital Management and a former Assistant Professor of Accounting at Hillsdale College. Mr. Morris is a CPA and a CFA. He received his MBA degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and his BBA from Northwood University in Midland, MI.
Debra Ragin Jessup
Wealth Advisor Trainee
Debra Ragin Jessup joined Grand Street Capital Management in 2019 as a Wealth Advisor Trainee. Ms. Jessup also practices law at Surratt Thompson & Ceberio, PLLC. Prior to that, she practiced at the Winston-Salem office of the Forrest Firm. An expert in Trusts and Estates, she brings a wide array of experience to the firm and is known for her versatility in applying legal concepts to wealth management. Although new to the role of Wealth Advisor, Ms. Jessup has practiced across multiple subject areas, served as an adjunct professor to undergraduate and graduate students teaching Business Law, served as the Director of Diversity for the Accountancy program at Wake Forest University, and has provided employment related consulting services. In her role at Grand Street Capital Management, Ms. Jessup primarily advises clients on wealth strategies as they relate to estate planning. Ms. Jessup earned her bachelor’s degree in government from Georgetown University, followed by her law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem. Debra Ragin Jessup is a member of the Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, and North Carolina Bar Associations and is licensed to practice law in North Carolina. She is currently pursuing her series 65 investment license.
